World hearing day is coming up on March 3rd. It's to promote ear and hearing care and raise awareness about hearing loss. This hits home with me as back in 2019 I had an unfortunate accident that shattered my ear drum and caused significant hearing loss in my right ear. World hearing day promotes wearing protective ear gear whenever doing anything involving loud noises. I wished I had followed that advice 6 years ago as to this day my right ear rings 24 hours a day. Luckily, I've gotten used to it, but it's no something I would recommend to anyone. Please wear protective gear when mowing your lawn, using a chainsaw and going to concerts. Your ears will thank you!
