Time to highlight a local sports legend. Alexander "Bay" Robertson was a Glens Falls area standout in the early 1900's as a star athlete. He was a standout player for Glens Falls Academy for three years before moving on to the Pawling school where he lettered in Baseball, Basketball and Football. What I found interesting in his bio was that he often played catcher for a team at Great Meadow Prison in Comstock where apparently they had no catcher incarcerated in Comstock. Alexander also coached for over ten years at Glens Falls Academy where his teams often qualified for the prestigious Eastern States Tournament. He was also an attorney and later a Warren County Judge who never lost his zest for local sports frequently attending Adirondack Red Wing Games well into his 80's. Interesting guy and local legend for sure!
