Students Dance Their Way To A Remarkable Amount Of Money

The South High Marathon Dance raised over $700,000 for charity.

For the 47th year, The South High Marathon Dance took place this past weekend at South Glens Falls High School to raise money for local charities. 

From Friday night into Saturday students, faculty and even the public were able to take part in an amazing annual event. The dance, which saw over 80% of the students join, was really to cap off the amazing efforts of everyone that was involved with helping raise money for 34 charities, families and organizations. Each student has to raise a certain amount of money for them to be able to take part in the marathon dance. 

Since the SHMD started, the student body and all involved have raised over $10 Million to help those in need of funds.

This year the $746,887.25 raised will go to the following families and organizations -
